{"id":283,"date":"2016-03-27T10:30:03","date_gmt":"2016-03-27T14:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcws.org\/?page_id=283"},"modified":"2024-03-26T17:46:03","modified_gmt":"2024-03-26T21:46:03","slug":"rules-policies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mcws.org\/rules-policies\/","title":{"rendered":"Rules &#038; Policies"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Masjid Rules &amp; Policies<\/h1>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Announcements<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>All personal or public announcements should be in writing and approved by Imam or MCWS Board.<\/li>\n<li>Approved announcements can be made by Imam or whoever is leading the prayer and should ONLY be announced by the Imam.<\/li>\n<li>No exceptions are allowed.<\/li>\n<li>Announcements for Jumma&#8217;ah prayer should be emailed to the<a href=\"http:\/\/mcws.org\/committees\/\">MCWS Communications Coordinator<\/a> or the <a href=\"http:\/\/mcws.org\/committees\/\">MCWS Assistant Administrator<\/a> by Thursday 5:00pm Eastern Time.<\/li>\n<li>All announcements should be dropped in the Community Drop Box (even those that have to be printed in the MCWS Newsletter or displayed on the notice board).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Charity\/Donations<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>No public donations or collections are allowed without the consent of MCWS \/ Masjid Board or the Imam. No Exceptions allowed.<\/li>\n<li>MCWS\/Masjid will not be responsible for donations to any unauthorized fund drive.<\/li>\n<li>Donations for MCWS General Funds goes towards meeting MCWS Expenses which include Prayer Area, Wudu, Bathrooms and Main Lobby Area.<\/li>\n<li>ZAKAT funds are distributed by MCWS to the needy and deserving communities at large or given to local Reputed Charitable Organizations.<\/li>\n<li>All other funds are considered as Sadaqa or Charity and go to Muslim Family Services (MFS) in Detroit.<\/li>\n<li>No funds will be given to any Foreign Organization(s) or individual(s).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Gymnasium Usage Policy<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Masjid\/MCWS use is limited to dinners, educational and social events.<\/li>\n<li>For all private usage, please contact the Crescent School Principal \u2013 Secretary at 734-729-1000.<\/li>\n<li>Members of MCWS are allowed to play Volley Ball or Basketball after approval from <a href=\"http:\/\/mcws.org\/committees\/\">MCWS Sports Coordinator<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Non-Members or any outside group have to ask for permission prior to any event from MEC (event) or to the MCWS Sports Coordinator (for playing Basketball\/other activities).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Cleaning<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Detail cleaning is done twice a year and before Ramadan under the supervision of Masjid Cleaning Committee<\/li>\n<li>Daily cleaning is done after school hours and Isha Salat.<\/li>\n<li>Please inform the <a href=\"http:\/\/mcws.org\/committees\/\">Masjid Committee Incharge<\/a> if you want to organize any cleaning event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Library Usage Guidelines<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mcws.org\/library-policies\/\">Click here <\/a>for detailed Library Rules and Regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Please contact the Librarian or the <a href=\"http:\/\/mcws.org\/committees\/\">MCWS Masjid Coordinator<\/a> for more details.<\/li>\n<li>The Library has a minimum donation of $10 (lifetime) for MCWS Members and non-members alike.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Sunday School Guidelines<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mcwsis.org\">Click here <\/a>for detailed Sunday School guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Please contact the <a href=\"http:\/\/mcwsis.org\">MCWS School\/Education Coordinator<\/a> or the Education Committee for further details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Advertising Policy<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mcws.org\/sponsor\/\">Click here <\/a>for MCWS detailed policy regarding advertising.<\/li>\n<li>All commercial or private ads can be posted on the designated Public Notice Board located at the left side of the Main Entrance.<\/li>\n<li>All ads will be taken out after 2 weeks.<\/li>\n<li>Please put the posted date on the ad.<\/li>\n<li>All other types of un-Islamic ads or materials will be removed immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Notice Board Policy<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Only MCWS\/Masjid related news or approved article or news is allowed inside the MCWS Notice Board.<\/li>\n<li>Contact <a href=\"http:\/\/mcws.org\/committees\/\">Masjid Committee<\/a> for any questions or suggestions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Parking Policy<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Please remember to park at the designated spots and not to park in front of the Masjid or any of the prohibited zones.
